Microsoft Windows
is the operating systems software on your person computer.
If you have used a computer before (on an
older operating system), or if you have had very limited use of a computer with
Windows, you should start with the Windows Introduction course. If you
have never used a computer, the best place to begin is with the
Introduction to Computers course, not
Windows Introduction.
Once you have taken the Introduction to
Windows, the next step is to learn how to use an application program, such as
Excel, Word or PowerPoint. Once you have been using one or more other
programs you will find that you will need to know more about Windows. It
is at this point that you should take the Intermediate Windows course. The
most common skill that computers users lack is the ability to find and to
organize files into folders. This topic and more is covered in the Windows
Intermediate course.
